What is Home Platform

Home Platform is a powerful set of tools designed to help easily build services that relies on the Home Gateway capabilities. Orange Home Gateway (fiber or fixed wireless) are often called livebox or funbox.
The capability to run Software Modules or applications within an Home Gateway is possible thanks to a new operating system called prpl OS that is managed by the prpl fundation and adopted by a growing number of operators.
The capability to install and manage apps within the Home Gateway is performed by the Home Management Platform thanks to the app Lifecycle Management features in addition to the existing firmwire management capabilities that is providing by the Auto Configuration Server (ACS).

USP or User Service Platform is the standardized data model, architecture and protocol to manage integration with carriers broadband infrastructure and cloud platforms. It brings distribution scalability, real time connectivity that will allow to bring new types of services while ensuring security and privacy.
USP is a standard by the broadband forum. Orange is an active member to contribute to USP specifications and adoption.
